Revitalization of Downtown Richmond, VA

The Richmond City Planning Commission will vote on the Downtown Master Plan at its July 21 meeting. Your support is needed to ensure the passage of this Plan.

The Downtown Master Plan provides a much-needed, bold blueprint for the strategic, sustained revitalization and preservation of our region’s core. The Plan will encourage a flourishing downtown that boasts public amenities and a walkable community in which residents can live, work, and play without the dependence on the automobile.

The development of the Plan has been incredibly inclusive, with more citizen involvement than ever before. In addition, the Plan has been thoroughly vetted with all sides heard. Now is the time to pass this plan and send it to City Council.

Please take time to email each of the Planning Commission members (see email addresses below) and urge them to approve the Plan and send it to City Council. For those of you who would like to register your support in person, look out for a second email on Monday, July 21 for information on the Planning Commission’s meeting time and location.
